2. Information we collect
We collect only what we need to operate our trucking business and respond to inquiries from shippers and drivers. Categories of personal information collected over the past 12 months:

We do not collect: government IDs, social-security numbers, bank-account or payment-card details (we don't sell anything online), biometric data, contents of communications between you and other parties, children's data, or data from individuals under 18.
3. How we use information
- Respond to quote requests and confirm freight pickups / deliveries
- Evaluate driver applications, run pre-employment screenings (with consent), and onboard hired drivers
- Operate our fleet — dispatch, routing, hours-of-service compliance, ELD reporting
- Comply with federal and state safety / tax / accounting obligations (49 CFR Part 390, RA accounting law equivalents)
- Detect and prevent fraud (e.g., fraudulent quote requests intended to harvest carrier rates)
- Improve our website (analytics on aggregated, non-identifying log data)
4. How we share information
We share personal information only with:
- Service providers — companies that help us run the business, under written contracts limiting use to our purposes only. Examples: our email host, our mapping provider (Google Maps, see Google's privacy policy), our payroll & insurance vendors, our drug-testing & MVR-checking partners.
- Business partners — other licensed carriers when we tender a load through our brokerage authority, only the freight details necessary to complete the move.
- Government & regulators — when legally required (IRS, California Public Utilities Commission, court subpoenas, audits, and other government agencies as obligated by law).
- Successors — in the event of a merger, acquisition, or asset sale, customer and personnel records may transfer subject to the same privacy commitments.
We do not sell or "share" personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising as those terms are defined under the CCPA / CPRA. We have not done so in the past 12 months.
5. Cookies & tracking
Our website uses minimal first-party cookies / localStorage solely to remember UI preferences and to keep submitted form fields in case the page reloads. We do not use third-party advertising trackers, retargeting pixels, or cross-site analytics. The Google Maps embed on our Contact page is loaded directly from Google and Google may collect data per their privacy policy; the embed is sandboxed in an iframe.

- Non-discrimination — we will not refuse service or charge a different price because you exercised any of these rights
- Authorized agent — you may submit requests through an authorized agent with proof of authority

We will verify your identity using information you have already provided to us; we will not collect additional sensitive identifiers solely to process the request.

8. Information security
- All data in transit uses TLS 1.2 or higher (Let's Encrypt certificate).
- Data at rest is stored on US-based encrypted servers.
- Access to driver and shipper records is restricted to authorized personnel on a need-to-know basis.
- We never store your card or banking data — we don't accept card payments through this website.
- We use industry-standard security headers (HSTS, X-Frame-Options DENY, X-Content-Type-Options nosniff, Referrer-Policy strict-origin-when-cross-origin).
9. Driver-specific privacy notice
Drivers employed or contracted by Heroes Logistics are subject to federal motor-carrier regulations that require collection and retention of: medical examination certificates, drug & alcohol testing results, motor vehicle records, hours-of-service logs, and incident reports. These records are kept for the periods specified by applicable federal regulation (typically 1 year on the truck and 3 years at the terminal) and are not deletable on request during those periods. After the regulatory retention period, records are destroyed.
10. Children
Our services are directed to commercial businesses and adult drivers. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If you believe we have, contact us immediately and we will delete it.
11. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as our practices evolve or as the law changes. The "Last updated" date at the top reflects the latest revision. Material changes will be highlighted on the homepage for 30 days.
